For legacy combined orders, the combined order is the parcel authority. In split payment/shipment mode, the payment order collects the fee and the separate shipment order is the parcel authority. Do not pack from the payment copy. Lifecycle labels are configurable and are not proof of an order’s role. Verify the Shipment order tag configuration before filtering an external printer or OMS.
Third-party Order Printer templates control their own layout. Grouped lines can be a template choice, but verify the actual variant quantities and select the correct physical shipment order before concluding the document is accurate.
In split mode, the payment order and shipment order are different records. Test shipment orders deliberately have no customer association, so a third-party template cannot read that customer’s metafields through the shipment order. Do not attach a customer as a workaround.
Use Addora’s customer fields, packing slip presets or picking lists for these workflows. Our settings do not change the output of another printing app.
