Changelog

Product updates for serious Ship Later operations.

Addora changes touch checkout, customer accounts, fulfillment holds, billing, reminders, and Shopify webhooks. This changelog is written for merchants who need to know the workflow is improving where it matters: reliability, clarity, and operational control.

June 2026

Name your Ship Later option anything, in any language

The "(Addora)" marker in the shipping method name is now optional. Stores on paid plans can give the Ship Later option its own name for every language they sell in, and built-in checks warn right away if a name is too generic or too close to another shipping option.

Pre-order release dates that just work

Pre-order items now release automatically on their planned date without any extra product setup. Addora keeps track of each release date itself and releases held items the moment the day arrives.

Cancelled and refunded orders handled automatically

Orders that get cancelled, refunded, or edited are now picked up right away and removed from pending lists, customer reminders, and analytics, so reports stay accurate and shoppers never get emails about orders that no longer exist.

Prices always shown in the shopper's currency

Shipping fee breakdowns and customer order pages now consistently show amounts in the currency the shopper actually paid in, including on multi-currency stores.

Smoother Ship Now experience for shoppers

Shoppers can now select or deselect all eligible orders at once, see clearer loading feedback while their request processes, and the Ship Now popup now opens and displays correctly on many more themes.

Your checkout, fully your brand

The small Addora reference in the checkout opt-in was removed, so the Ship Later choice now appears entirely in the store's own branding.

Faster dashboard

The dashboard now loads its insights and pending order numbers much faster, so opening the app feels instant.

Safer switch to split-order fulfillment

Stores moving from whole-order mode to the new split-order mode now get a smoother transition, with existing held orders carried over correctly.

A faster, more stable app behind the scenes

Order processing was reworked for reliability, incoming Shopify updates now retry automatically when something hiccups, and slow connections can no longer hold up the app.

May 2026

Redesigned dashboard with live insights

The dashboard was rebuilt with interactive charts and timelines covering pending orders, revenue, customer analytics, and upcoming shipments, replacing the older static overview.

Customer reminder emails for held orders

Merchants can now send automated email reminders to customers with orders waiting to ship, with configurable timing, daily send caps, and per-customer unsubscribe handling.

Customer reminders overview

A new Customer Reminders view under Operations shows which reminders went out, delivery status, and engagement so merchants can see what their shoppers received.

Held orders button in customer accounts

A new button on the native Shopify customer account order page lets shoppers jump straight into their Ship Later order summary, making the held-order experience feel native to Shopify.

Clearer onboarding guidance

Onboarding screens got refreshed components and clickable step pills so merchants can revisit and complete setup more easily.

Smoother reconnect when access is lost

If Shopify revokes the app's access, merchants now see a clear reconnect prompt instead of silent API failures, and background work pauses gracefully until access is restored.

Split-order fulfillment mode

Orders that mix in-stock and held items can now split by readiness: ready items ship right away while the rest stay safely in Ship Later, all without losing the original order.

Pre-order support

Merchants can mark variants as pre-order with an expected release date. Addora holds the order, schedules the release, and keeps shoppers informed automatically, with a guided setup wizard under Settings.

Supplier item support

Items coming from a supplier can be held with a clear waiting-on-supplier reason instead of sitting in a generic pending state, and the hold lifts with one click once stock arrives.

Redesigned customer portal for split orders

The customer-facing order page now groups items by what is ready to ship, what is still waiting, and what has already shipped, with a plain-language reason and expected date on every held item.

In-app support chat

Merchants can now message the Addora team directly from a chat inside the app and get a clear notice about response times outside support hours.

Updated pricing with grandfathering

Plan rates were updated for new stores, while existing stores automatically keep their original pricing.

Better syncing with outside fulfillment

Orders fulfilled through other apps or external warehouses now stay correctly in sync with Ship Later.

April 2026

New Free plan tier

Stores can now activate a Free plan locally without a Shopify subscription, with clear monthly order caps and grandfathered overrides for legacy stores.

Automatic reprocessing of blocked orders

Orders that were blocked while a usage cap was hit are now safely re-enqueued once the cap clears, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Faster, more polished dashboard

Dashboard performance was improved and styling was refreshed for cleaner daily use.

More reliable webhook handling

Webhook registration was refactored, legacy webhooks are cleaned up automatically, and key topics are routed through a retry job for stronger reliability.

Stronger install and uninstall flows

After-install and after-uninstall handling was hardened so setup and teardown behave more predictably.

Currency safety for consolidation orders

Consolidation now validates that all items share the same presentment currency and fails fast on mismatches, preventing broken multi-currency shipments.

Better tracking on shipping fee orders

Tracking details now propagate to shipping fee orders automatically, with safeguards to skip redundant updates.

Smarter order tagging

Order tagging logic was tightened so Ship Later tags stay accurate across the order lifecycle.

Fewer authentication errors

Admin session authentication was tightened to reduce intermittent errors during normal use.

March 2026

Guided onboarding with progress tracking

Dedicated onboarding for billing, shipping setup, delivery profiles, emails, and customer order pages, plus clearer step status and completion views.

Smarter dashboard and cleaner app navigation

The admin app was reorganized into clearer areas like Dashboard, Onboarding, Operations, Guides, Settings, and Diagnostics.

Better checkout copy setup and previews

Merchants can manage the Ship Later name and checkout description, preview that copy during onboarding, and follow a clearer checkout guide.

Expanded diagnostics and webhook visibility

Diagnostics now include recent webhook event history, better filtering, health checks, and stronger troubleshooting support.

Customer order tracking on the storefront

Shoppers can now see tracking details and shipment links on customer order pages.

More reliable delivery customization and profile pricing

Delivery customization enablement was hardened and delivery profile price handling became more stable.

Stronger storefront reliability for customer order pages

App proxy verification and request handling were tightened so public Ship Later pages fail less often.

Better billing detection for Shopify Plus trials

Plan detection now handles Shopify Plus Trial stores more accurately.

February 2026

Smarter fulfillment holds and releases

Addora can place fulfillment holds, release them at the right time, and keep Ship Later aligned with Shopify fulfillment.

Optional auto-fulfillment for original orders

After a consolidated shipment is completed, stores can choose to automatically fulfill the original held orders too.

New statistics view for pending shipments

The old pending-orders area became a more useful statistics dashboard with summaries for pending orders, customers, countries, and estimated shipping fees.

Manual Add to Bundle tools

Merchants can now add existing paid but unfulfilled orders into the Ship Later flow.

English and French language improvements

Admin and storefront extensions received broader translation support.

More accurate shipping rules

Condition logic was tightened so pricing, quantity, weight, and discount rules behave more predictably.

Custom shipping method naming

Stores can rename the Ship Later shipping method to better fit their brand and checkout experience.

Better setup guidance

The homepage became a clearer setup guide with stronger navigation, quick actions, and help content.

January 2026

New subscription and billing model

Addora introduced a more complete subscription system with plan handling, usage tracking, warning states, and clearer billing controls.

30-day free trial

New stores can start with a 30-day trial, making it easier to test the app before committing to a paid plan.

Better billing visibility

Pricing screens and billing warnings were improved so merchants can understand plan limits, overages, and account status more easily.

Usage warning emails

Merchants can now receive helpful billing emails when they are approaching limits or need to take action.

Clearer order lifecycle statuses

The app added stronger lifecycle labels and tags for orders.

Customer order selection for checkout

Shoppers can choose which eligible orders they want to ship together instead of being forced into an all-or-nothing flow.

December 2025

Simpler and more flexible shipping fees and discounts

The fee and discount system was reworked to support clearer condition-based rules, shipping adjustments, and free-shipping scenarios.

Consolidation-first checkout flow

The product moved fully toward a consolidation-based shipping flow.

More polished customer order pages

The storefront Ship Later and customer-order experience received upgrades so the buying and shipping flow feels more consistent for shoppers.
