Open Operations, Orders in Addora ↗Inside an order drawer you can change the status of any individual held item without affecting other orders. This article explains each action and when to use it.
Mark ready
Press Mark ready on a held item when stock has arrived or you have confirmed it is available. The customer can then add it to a shipment and choose shipping. The item remains held until that shipment is requested; this action never ships it automatically.
Hold
Press Hold on an item that is currently ready to put it back on hold. Addora will not include it in a shipment until you release it again or it is released by a release date or an automatic condition.
Set or edit a release date
Press Set release date (or Edit release date if one is already set) to pick a date on which this item will become ready automatically. When the date arrives, Addora marks the item ready without any manual action needed. You can also press Clear to remove a release date that is no longer needed.
Mark part of a quantity ready
When a held item has more than one unit, pressing Mark ready asks how many units to update. The number starts at all units. Enter a smaller number and press Mark N ready to make just those units available for shipment selection. The remaining units stay on hold under the same original hold condition.
- The number you enter can be anything from 1 up to the total held quantity. Releasing all units works exactly like a normal full release.
- After a partial release, the order shows two separate status rows for that product: one for the ready units and one for the remaining held units.
- The held portion can still be released, held again, or given a release date independently.
Which item status means what
- Held (amber badge): the item is waiting on a condition before it ships.
- Ready (blue badge): the item is available for the customer to select for a shipment.
- Shipped (green badge): the item has already been sent. No further actions are available on it.
Date changes are reconciled asynchronously in the store time zone. Product-level changes preserve manually pinned order dates and supplier stock-confirmation rules. A native preorder promise may impose a later minimum date. Check the affected order after processing rather than assuming an immediate update or guaranteed email.
