Legacy subscription spending caps

New subscriptions have no monthly overage spending cap. If your existing subscription has a cap, the legacy rules below apply. Your active Pricing (in Addora ↗) page shows the terms for your store.

Only an existing subscription whose approved terms include a usage cap follows these stages. New Starter, Growth and Scale subscriptions do not have this spending cap. Confirm the stored terms on Pricing before treating a warning or pause as applicable.

The four stages

1. Approaching the cap. When your overage charges reach roughly 90% of your monthly cap, Addora shows a banner in the app and sends you an email. Ship Later keeps working normally at this stage.
2. Cap reached, grace period begins. When a new order Addora would manage pushes you past your cap, Addora cannot charge further overage. At that point, a 3-day grace period starts. Addora keeps working during those 3 days so your customers are not suddenly blocked.
3. Grace period ends, Addora intake paused. After 3 days, new qualifying orders are temporarily set aside until the cap resets or you upgrade.
4. Automatic recovery. At the start of your next billing period, the cap resets and any orders that were set aside are processed automatically. If you upgrade your plan before the period ends, recovery happens immediately.

What happens to orders that are set aside

When Addora intake is paused, new qualifying orders are tagged and held in a queue. When the block lifts at period reset or on upgrade, those orders are automatically reprocessed through Addora. You do not need to handle them manually.

How to recover early

You do not need to wait for the next billing period. Upgrading to a higher plan resets the cap immediately and re-runs any set-aside orders right away. Go to Pricing (in Addora ↗) to upgrade.

Examples of legacy approved caps

• Starter: up to $99 in overage per month (on top of the $12 flat fee).
• Growth: up to $199 in overage per month (on top of the $39 flat fee).
• Scale: up to $299 in overage per month (on top of the $69 flat fee).
• Unlimited and Managed: no overage at all. Unlimited Addora orders for a flat monthly fee.
