If your store sells in more than one language and the ship later wording in your emails looks wrong, here is what to check.
Your order confirmation wording
Shopify sends the order confirmation email, and you control its wording for each language. If the ship later message reads correctly in your main language but looks wrong in another, it usually means the wording you added has not been translated for that language yet.
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings, then Languages.
- Open each language you sell in.
- Translate the ship later wording you added to your order confirmation email so it reads correctly in that language.
Addora reminder and update emails
Built-in notification defaults follow the resolved customer/storefront locale. Custom subject, heading and body overrides are shared text and are sent as entered, not automatically translated. The merchant app supports English, German, Spanish, French and Dutch. Test both default and customized emails in each language you use.
Test after a change
- Place a test order in each language you support, using the Ship Later option.
- Check that the confirmation email reads as reserved, not shipped, and appears in the language you expect.
- If anything still looks off, contact support and let them know which language.
