Open Settings, Fulfillment & integrations in Addora ↗

Identify the physical parcel record before packing. Legacy combined mode uses the combined order; split payment/shipment mode uses a separate shipment order and a payment copy. Never pack the payment copy. A documented warehouse workflow may instead ship released originals; use only that agreed procedure.

Watch the workflow. Use the written instructions for your store’s configuration; all example data is illustrative.

How fulfillment works with Addora

Identify the shipment mode and exact tagged record with your warehouse before enabling imports. Labels alone do not prove which record carries the parcel. Use Which order should my team fulfill? and run one controlled order through payment, picking and tracking.

Use order tags to identify the right order

The most reliable way to tell Addora orders apart in your external tool is to use order tags. You can set a dedicated tag for the shipping order in Settings, Fulfillment & integrations (in Addora ↗) using the Shipment order tag field. Set a tag such as "addora-ship" and configure your fulfillment tool to only process orders carrying that tag.

You can also set lifecycle tags on the original held orders (Pending, Released, etc.) so your tool can ignore them or handle them differently. See Order tags for a warehouse or tool for the full tag setup.

Prevent double-fulfillment

If your fulfillment tool automatically picks up all unfulfilled Shopify orders, it may try to fulfill the original held orders as well. That would conflict with Addora's hold and could trigger the needs-review flag. To avoid this:

  • Tag the original Addora orders with a lifecycle tag (for example, "addora-hold") and configure your tool to skip orders with that tag.
  • Or configure your tool to only process orders that carry the shipment order tag.
  • Enable Prevent early dispatch in Settings, Fulfillment & integrations (in Addora ↗) (this is on by default) so Shopify order holds prevent early picking.

Auto-fulfill original orders

By default the original items reconcile when the physical shipment is fulfilled. Auto-complete orders after payment is a separate setting that can close originals earlier. Do not enable it merely to print or to reconcile after delivery. Confirm its timing with your fulfillment procedure.
