Open Settings, Ship Later in Addora ↗The buyer acknowledgement is an optional confirmation step that appears at checkout when a shopper selects Ship Later. It explains the terms (the order will be held, shipping is charged later) and asks the customer to confirm before continuing.
Where to set it up
- In the Addora app, go to Settings, Ship Later (in Addora ↗).
- Toggle the buyer acknowledgement on.
- Choose a mode: Warn or Block (see below).
- Click Save.
Warn mode vs Block mode
- Warn mode (default): An informational panel appears above the shipping list explaining what Ship Later means. The customer can read it and continue without explicitly agreeing. Checkout is never stopped.
- Block mode: If a customer selects Ship Later without confirming, a message appears and they cannot proceed to payment until they click agree. This gives you the strongest protection against accidental Ship Later selections. Block mode requires Shopify Plus.
Add the Addora block in Checkout Editor
After enabling the acknowledgement in Addora settings, you also need to add the Addora block in the Shopify Checkout Editor. The acknowledgement panel is rendered by this block.
- In Shopify Admin, go to Settings, then Checkout.
- Click Customize.
- In the checkout editor, go to the Shipping step.
- Click Add block (or the plus icon in the section where shipping options appear).
- Under Apps, find and add the Addora block.
- If you are using Block mode, also turn on "Allow app to block checkout" inside the block's settings panel.
- Click Save.

Customizing the copy
All the buyer-facing text for the acknowledgement panel (heading, description, modal terms, checkbox label, agree and cancel button labels, error message) is set inside the Checkout Editor block settings, not in the Addora app. Select the block in the editor and edit the fields on the right-hand panel.
